Jen Rohrs’ first-author paper has been accepted into the Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering journal! The paper, entitled “Predictive model of lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase (LCK) autoregulation”, presents a mechanistic model of the tyrosine kinase LCK, a key activator of T cells. The model enables the evaluation of LCK protein interactions that mediate T cell activation on a more quantitative level, providing new insights and testable hypotheses. Professor Pin Wang, in Chemical Engineering, is also co-author.

The open-access article is available at the journal’s website: http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12195-016-0438-7.

Professor Finley was invited to submit the paper as part of the 2016 Young Innovators special issue of the journal. She will present the work at the 2016 Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting in Minneapolis in October.

Congratulations to Jen, Dr. Wang, and Professor Finley! This is a great accomplishment for the lab!
