Professor Finley’s proposal to study the dynamics of angiogenic signaling pathways in tumor cells is awarded funding through the NSF Faculty Early CAREER Award! The project will develop an experiment-based computational model of angiogenesis signaling pathways in tumor cells and apply the model to identify mechanisms that can shift the angiogenic balance in favor of anti-angiogenic signaling species that promote cell death. The NSF CAREER award will also support new experimental studies to quantify the signaling dynamics, performed in our lab. Congratulations to the CSBL, and we look forward to exciting results from this work!
