Professor Finley gives Grand Rounds lecture at Moffitt Cancer Center
December 5, 2020Congratulations to Colin Cess for successfully passing his Ph.D. qualifying exam. Colin is now a Ph.D. Candidate!
Colin’s Ph.D. research uses mathematical modeling to explore interactions between tumor and immune cells in cancer. He proposes to construct a detailed agent-based model to simulate tumor growth and explore immunotherapies. Colin’s proposed research is based on previous work published in the Journal of Theoretical Biology to encode intracellular signaling using machine learning and a recent bioRxiv preprint presenting a model of macrophage and T cell interactions in tumors.
