Congratulations to CSBL Ph.D. candidate, Lynne Cherchia!

Congratulations to Lynne Cherchia for successfully passing her Ph.D. qualifying exam. Lynne is officially a Ph.D. Candidate in Biomedical Engineering!

Lynne’s research will combine quantitative molecular and imaging analyses, together with systems biology and modeling approaches. Lynne is particularly excited to apply this integrative imaging-modeling approach to more fully understand the integration of diverse signals and demands on the function and number of pancreatic beta cells (PBCs). This work will focus on signaling that mediates PBC proliferation, which can have a major impact on our understanding and treatment of diabetes.
