Congratulations to Jennifer Rohrs, who received one of four Best Graduate Student Oral Presentation award at the immunologyLA symposium held on June 9. At the meeting, Jen presented her latest work to quantify the kinetics of LCK-mediated phosphorylation of the CD3z chain and the CD28 co-stimulatory domain. Her project combines mathematical modeling and experimental studies and provides quantitative insight into CAR-induced T cell activation. This work can be used to better optimize CAR-based immunotherapy.
